Controller not working (again)

For some reason, beamng drive doesn't detect my xbox one controller when I plug it in. It doesn't show up in hardware either. The game only detects it when both my mouse and controller are plugged in. But when I take the mouse out again after that, the game stops responding. This is the error message:
