Some time ago I came to the idea to simulate all particles via nodes, as an example: Every single smoke texture has its own node. It would be nice to see smoke under the vehicle's hood to find its way out.
I don't know how much performance it would cost to additional simulate maybe a hundred nodes at the same time. I just want you to think about it.
