Ipod 5 Not Working.

Im gonna turn this into an apple support thing.

So my sister had her ipod dropped into our swimming pool and she was able to quickly get it out. Thanks to her case she said it turned on. until she was walking to the house and she dropped. then it wouldnt we tried rice and holding in the home and power button for 10 sec. She said when she plugged it in the back got really hot.

is there a way to save this and all of her data.
