Disabling Tire Smoke?

Hi BeamNG Community!

I have a pretty low end computer with a Athlon X4 760k and a R7 260X. I seem to be running the game flawlessly on low setting at a steady frame rate. All is good until I turn a corner and the tires squeal and smoke, then i drop to <5 FPS. Is there any way of solving this?
