Setting AI with selectable waypoints

AI is better and better with every update and the Script AI is a very nice thing to have, but setting AI to race them or setting a designated route is still very hard, so I came up with an idea

We could have an option, to select waypoints for AI to drive

Selected waypoints would have numbers next to them showing what waypoint is first and what waypoint is last, this would be for each individual vehicle.

So one vehicle can drive where the blue line is (starting from 1 waypoint to 27...

Just tried to park a ETK-I car when suddenly i couldnt move the car over to the parking area.. the car began to spin and then i noticed the fence began to drag the car into the fence itself. See image below for the location.

Work in progress!

I figured that my traffic app discussion and progress can go in its own thread. The Traffic Tool will allow you to spawn or set other vehicles as traffic on any map. You can even use vehicles that you spawned from the Vehicles menu as traffic. Various other options can be set, such as speed limit, respawn rate, paint color mode, and AI mode.

Hi, I just installed the new update and though the load in time (Actual objects rendering when first spawning in is much slower and laggy), everything else is much better.
Except ONE thing. Literally a few days ago when I put the AI into chase mode they would fly up to the car and beat it off the road and would make for awesome crashes. However now they just sit behind the car being chased staring at its bumper. I know the little car is hungry for some bumper to bumper action.

Resetting a "modified" map

So I used the map editor and added 4 permanent vehicle spawns, and a few concrete barriers to the derby arenas map, and now the textures are all broken(no buildings, no concrete barriers, misc items...anything. except for discolored ground, and trees) upon release of the new update.

I was wondering if there was a way to reset the map back to default, so that i can at least play it?

BeamNG has some incredible attention to detail that other car games simply do not bother with.

I remember driving the hillclimb sunburst really fast and noticing the back wing bend slightly due to the downforce and it blew me away to see such a thing. But it also gave me an idea that would be alittle neato to see.

Why not create slipstreams? reducing the downforce of vehicles behind you for a certain distance might not be much, but realism is the goal right? Just an idea.

Hey guys, so about two days ago I first picked up blender, and here I have something to show for it!
The model iam making is a Dodge Challenger SRT 2015, and I followed a YouTube tutorial to get me started, but now I know the basics, I have been pretty much been doing this without the tutorial. BTW I wont release this car as a mod this is only a practise before I get started on the real thing (I wont be making a Challenger btw). It aint much, but you've got to start somewhere. So any...

AI goes wrong way on Utah

Audio not playing from different outputs since 0.17

My PC has a motherboard with on-board Realtek audio drivers.
One feature it has is the fact that there exists audio jacks both in front and back of the PC with their own systems. Like an on-board soundcard.

Pre-update, I was able to choose between each of these outputs thanks to a menu option.
In addition, the game would often detect the current output being used automatically, so it was often unnecessary to tinker with the audio.

However, now, I'm only able to use the default output...

Anyone else into radio controlled monster trucks or cars? I got three at the moment. A Traxxas Stampede 2wd, a Stampede 4wd brushless, and an Arrma Granite 4x4 BLX 3s. Anyone built their own scale monster truck?

for some reason when I try to spawn all the traffic, I click spawn (or whatever button it is) and the traffic doesn’t spawn. Anyone know why?

Broken Utah, USA dirt texture

When I loaded into the map Utah, USA, the dirt texture is just a really light blue. Every other texture is fine, but the ground texture is definitely not right. I've cleared my cache and went into safe mode, and it was still the same. Any help?

More leniency with bus length with strict bus stops disabled

Hi,

I really like the bus routes gameplay. :)

Sadly any buses with more than standard length cant be played as they simple dont fit inside the predefined area. So far so good... of course with Strict Stops enabled the game rightfully complaints about the articulated bus being way to long.



It however also still does this when strict stops are disabled.... and again I can understand the initial reasoning behind that..... but with...

What is with the new update!! All I ever played on the game was banger racing round a oval. Now the ai wont touch each other and if somebody comes to a stop instead of hitting them and making a awesome crash the ai just comes to a dead stop. Not to mention all the in game tracks I have made are now broke and the ai line is all messed up so they drive into the wall. I want the old version back, there is no fun in this one in the slightest.

There are quite few scenarios that easily could be made more challenging by allowing a free car choice.

Of course, to avoid unfair bragging the car and configuration used should be displayed on the result screen.

The idea came to me when I used a basically driving only scenario on a mod map. It it had been time trial... one could choose any vehicle but so you are limited to what the map author selected.

Freeroam is not a solution either, many mod maps are so large and complex that it...

The Top-Down camera doesn't work properly anymore

Previously, when I attempt to use the top-down camera, the camera would zoom in and out according to my speed. But now, it's broken and does the following:

1. Upon using it for the first time, it will zoom out to the largest possible distance (i.e. I could see the entire map)
2. It begins to zoom in in a rapid pace until it stops above my car (normal at this point)
3. But when I speed up, the camera doesn't adjust according to my speed.

Playing a Liberty City mod for this game, not having...

Ok, *sighs*, here we go : So now I really want to install 0.17 to explore the latest version of
BeamNG but I really d o n ' t want to lose 0.15.xx because I've been building a lot on it.
Originally I wanted to leave 0.15.xx on my machine and save for a new one to apply more recent
versions but since I notice that the performance is improving by every update (sort of at least)
I would like to give it a try IF I can preserve my current version...
