It's been a while since I've made a map, 2, maybe 3 years. But I've been inspired by DoullPepper and have taken it upon myself to create something to "give back" to the community. I have been working on this map since new years, 20 hours a week and I don't even think it's half done. As the title says, this map is called "100 mile house", and I used a real-world heightmap and a sculptmap to create this. I was originally planned to make this mod months ago but I failed to do it because i never knew jbeam at all. Now that I'm able to jbeam I can make the mod so its finally coming to Beamng drive. When i first started the mod the wheels and the suspension kept falling apart and I didn't know what to do at all so I lost motivation for months. I've noticed that many of the official development threads have turned into people just talking about updates and whatnot, clogging up the thread and not actually talking about the car/devblog/whatever. So post your theories and speculations about future updates here, so that the official threads aren't clogged with posts theorizing what may be in future updates.

The wiki is wrong? Props section

I read the wiki on how to place steering wheels and props, it says that the exported .DAE contains the correct location information but not rotation, It says I should copy the rotation from Blender and add that to the jbeam file,

"The mesh can be angled in the 3D modeling program and the angle copied into the props section"

however this doesnt work


taking the semi for example the steering wheel in Blender the rotation is x55 y0 z0 and in the jbeam props section the rotation is x145 y0 z0...

The wiki is wrong? Props section

Any idea when the next update will be released?

Upon research of the forums, there has not been a single NASCAR-ish stock car created in BeamNG.Drive! This is quite surprising considering how crazy you can make crashes. (I wonder if you can do a blow-over in BeamNG) I did find this one oval track made for BeamNG Drive waaaay back before the Pre-Race update.

Im going to try and mod the Power and Aerodynamics of the Grand Marshall, see if I can make a 650 HP Stock car.

Ill keep yall updated.

Will all cars eventually have fully tunable suspension?

Or do they plan on keeping it only for cars that would normally be raced or used for off-roading? I feel like the burnside would actually make a good offroader with raised suspension and a welded diff, and the t-series and pigeon would be even more fun to mess with.

For the past few weeks I have been tossing around the idea of dolling up the vehicle pages in the wiki to more closely resemble real world car wikipedia pages. With all of the careful assessment of period correctness that goes into these cars to make them believable yet unique, it seems fitting that they should have quirks, trivia, and an aura of "we'll fix it as we go" that real cars do. The North American B-25 Mitchell was arguably the best medium bomber of WWII, and also happens to have the same name as me. Therefore I've decided to recreate it in BeamNG.drive as accurately as possible.
100k triangles, 808 nodes, 4853 beams, 4k textures, 66 flexbodies, 12,114 kg. After a month of arduous modeling, texturing and Jbeaming, it's time to release this.

Hello. I recently got BeamNG and I have been having a big annoying problem.
As the title says, the game freezes then crashes to desktop after anywhere from 5 minutes to 15 minutes.
I can verify everything is up to date.

I am running:
Windows 10 Home
Intel core I7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz
16GB of ram
64-bit operating system

I Always play on full screen with High settings and 1080p 59Hz (that's weird, btw, there's no 60Hz?)
A fresh install allows me to play for 20 minutes before reverting back to...

I was wondering, would it be possible to implement fresnel-oriented options for static mesh materials? I know fresnel shading is already lightly implemented; it's used for water, and a very, very subtle version of the effect can be seen on indirectly lit or unlit areas of static meshes.

The reason I ask is because fresnel options are very important in creating realistic glass and car paint, two of the most common materials seen in a vehicle simulator. In order to be helpful for car paint,...
